I slowly scrolled up and saw the sky last - wow! Pretty heavy - and oh I love a good storm!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I am all too familliar with this shot being as I live in Arkansas - "tornado land". :)
ReplyDeleteHi hazel nut,
ReplyDeleteI love storms as well, the lightning shots are great to capture, so long as you have ear muffs! :) We got a lightning storm here last night, so I'll post my lightning shots soon. Hope you can make it here again to see them.
Cheers,
David
Hi crazy working mom,
ReplyDeleteWow, I look forward to seeing your photos. Do you often get photos of the large storms approaching?
Cheers,
David
Looks like that slender tree is holding back the storme. This is wonderful, David!
ReplyDeleteHi sandycarlson,
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping round. I love to look at this picture the way you described it, it is especially nice right now when we have the possibility of another storm this afternoon!
Cheers,
David
cool I love layered skies
ReplyDeleteHi marcia,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. I hope you enjoyed Earth Day, and helped get a lot done if you were involved! Hope to see you again soon.

Hi David - This is a great shot. I can almost feel the low pressure!
ReplyDeleteBobbie
I love that moment right before a storm when the air is heavy and still, almost as if the world is holding its breath.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great photo, but I really, really like the one in the sidebar, with the lightning!
ReplyDeletewhat can i say...quick and run for cover!!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
David: It doesn't look like that tree has a lot more storms in it. I enjoy when you capture the blue with the dark clouds.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful. You are very talented. Thank you for sharing. Happy Wordless Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteHi bns,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. You've certainly picked up the atmosphere of the shot well. Have a nice W.W.!
Cheers,
David
Hi shannon,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I love that moment too. I am certainly holding my breath when I take these storm shots, especially the lightning :)
Cheers,
David
Hi expat mom,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like that photo. As you can see, it's personally my favourite. But, last night I got another lightning photo that might replace it soon.... :)
Cheers,
David
Hi Leonard,
ReplyDeleteYep, gotcha! I'm running..... ;)
Cheers,
David
Hi fishing guy,
ReplyDeleteThis tree doesn't have many more storms left in it. It's the same one I used in my lightning photo in the sidebar, and it's already dead due to the drought. Great observation there too - I wouldn't have thought of pointing that out!
Cheers,
David
Hi The Healthy Mom,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words, and for taking the time to comment in your visit. I hope you have a great Wordless Wednesday too.
Cheers,
David
