Great shot. Looks like your garden is growing well
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd ever noticed the little spines on these flowers before your photo. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot! We have one of these growing in our back yard at the moment, and it will be interesting to see what it is like!
ReplyDeleteOurs is up as well at burntofferings and more at bernies fotoblog.
Have a great WW!!
Have not seen a pumpkin flower. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful
ReplyDeleteHi stacey huston,
ReplyDeleteOur garden at the moment is going quite well, but completely over-run with pumpkins! At least they've choked out the weeds which used to be there, and it looks like we'll get some pumpkins out of them too.
Cheers,
David
Hi sandycarlson,
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping round today. I hope you have a nice W.W.
Cheers,
David
Hi julia smith,
ReplyDeleteI'd never actually noticed these before either. They do add a nice touch to the flower though, it's amazing that people don't see them more often.
Cheers,
David
Hi bernie,
ReplyDeleteThanks, I hope you have a great Wordless Wednesday too. Hopefully it shouldn't be too long before your vine flowers - these things grow like crazy!
Cheers,
David
Hi tigerfish,
ReplyDeleteIf you want to grow a pumpkin vine, it's really quite easy. Just throw the seeds of a pumpkin (it needs to be natural, try getting one off a friend) into the garden, and they'll most likely take off quickly! These plants are from compost, another great way to get freebie veggies.
Cheers,
David
Hi lillie & nevada,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, have a nice day! I can't leave a comment on your photo blog, but I am enjoying the photos. :)
Cheers,
David
Cute pic, I like it! Draw a face just below the yellow and this could be the next Disney charactor :) The vines are very arm-like ;)
ReplyDeleteHi lea,
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, maybe we could call it "Sprite" or something! :) Now I'll be imagining even more when I go out into the garden that the plants are alive and moving!
Cheers,
David
This looks like an alien arrival in Vegepatch Land! Interesting shot.
ReplyDelete....pumpkin coming in for landing, pumpkin to soup, can you hear me, come in soup...... :)
