  2. I like this shot. I really love the perspective. I have been trying to incorporate different perspectives into my work, instead of the same old stand, look, point, focus and shoot routine.

  4. Hi janet,

Yes, big, fierce ones.....! :) No, actually we didn't see any snakes on the whole trip, which was kind of disappointing as I was hoping to get a photo of one. But this was the best I could do.

    Cheers,

    David

  6. Hi Christy,

Yes, sometimes it is good to get a different perspective. This photo isn't really very spectacular, but the angle makes it unique.

  9. Hi Sherry,

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, especially in photographs, so if you like this angle that's great. Thanks for your comment, hope you have a great day.

  12. I think this is the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on.

I really admire your photography choices and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

  13. It is well known that we Portuguese once sailed the seven seas searching for new lands, wealth and adventures.
We were brave in those days and gave the world new worlds!

Luckily I don’t have to sail the big oceans on a small ship to sea the wonders of our world …
No Sir, I just need to check with Mr. Tom, the finest host there is, for a trip around the world with SKY WATCH TOURS and with a click here, a click there I am quickly in the USA, England, Brazil, Italy, China, Australia, Finland … well, everywhere.

And on each stop I come to see a little marvel of our world under a great sky!
Hope you can come and see my piece of the sky ...

  14. In all the time I was in the desert I only saw about a dozen snakes - one of which was looking the other way when I put my foot within 18 inches of it - - -

    What a great perspective.

  20. Hi quinttarantino,

I continue to be amazed at the diversity to be found in the blogosphere. As you say, we can find sites from all over the world, and experience different cultures to our own all at the click of a button. Thank you for your contribution to this corner of the world, hope we can both continue to find great discoveries online.

  21. Hi archiearchive,

Yes, it's a pity that we don't see snakes as much as we're supposed to. At least, from a photographer's point of view. We can probably thank God that we don't though, otherwise there might be a lot more bites!

    Cheers,

    David

By the way, the photo of the waterfall in the next posting is absolutely stunning. Great work! Very nice.

  30. Great catch for SWF! God and Nature first made us what we are, and then out of our own created genius we make ourselves what we want to be. Follow always that great law. Let the sky and God be our limit and Eternity our measurement.... Happy weekend! Mine's up too hope you can drop by.... here

  31. I would image that a snake, having just slithered out of, or from under, a dark and chilly place, would find this ray of sunlight on its path most welcome. Interesting perspective; excellent photo.

  32. I love the shot! And I found myself looking for the snake, LOL!

  33. When I take these shots call them worm eye wiew, bit snake eye is a lot cooler. Geat shot and perspective to get that sunflash.

Yes, and little children too. :) It's great with photography to see as something (or someone) else sees - good for expanding your horizon!
