After the Rain Part 1 - Jasmine Flowers

jasmine buds (will be jasmine flowers) with water droplets hanging off them after the rainphoto of two open jasmine flowers close up (macro)
It's been raining here lately, so I though I might post a few of the photos I got just after the rain stopped.

These photos all show jasmine flowers at their various stages of development. The Fujifilm S9600's super macro mode helped here to get really close up shots. The two pictures on the left hand side show water droplets hanging off jasmine buds, while the photos on the right show fully opened jasmine flowers.

These photos taken with the Fujifilm S9600 digital camera.

  5. Hi Richard,

I've always quoted that same maxim - after the rain, nature photography in particular improves. In fact, I was nearly going to go out during the rain, but then I remembered that it's a new camera, best not to ruin it on the first day! :)

  13. Hi moggie,

No worries, I do try to check out all my visitor's sites when they comment. Since you use an SLR I presume it would accommodate really good macro lenses, that explains how you can get such great photos!

Thanks for committing to visit every so often, it's great to hear from people who like the blog.

    See you later,

    David

  14. Hi fruity,

Checked out your blog, it's very interesting. I never saw so much information about various fruits together in one location.

Thanks for stopping by. If you haven't seen jasmine flowers before, here's something to note: each of these flowers is about 1.5cm in diameter, and the buds are about the same length. They tend to look bigger in the photos.

    Cheers,

    David
