Yes, I can think at this and imagine all kinds of personalities for the vine, and even this little part of a vine. Maybe one day I'll try and write a "fun" post where I imagine a human personality for some of these pics..... could be interesting!
I've just been playing in the Eisteddfod today, so your suggestion is very relevant for me! I can certainly imagine this on the front cover of a violin CD, the vine itself looks a little like a violin with the curves.
This vine seems beautiful in the macro photo, but you should see it in real life - it's trying to take over the house! It's interesting to note the different aspect which a macro shot gives to something.
Great macro, David. Tendrils are one of those things that are so delicate as individuals but if you get enough of them applied to the same task, they can provide an amazing amount of support.
Thanks for your continued comments and support, they are much appreciated. This was a particularly interesting photo as it is green-on-green, quite a difficult colour scheme so I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for visiting, nice to see a vine-lover around! Vines can be very nice, especially when they have flowers. This is another side of the vine, the "feeler" which isn't often photographed.
I find that most people love nature when they come to think of it, maybe it's something innate in us. After all, we are nature ourselves from a certain point of view, so it's natural to enjoy other parts of creation!
Thanks for dropping round, glad you could enjoy the picture. Hope to see you again soon!
Yes, I know that very well, from attempting to prevent this very creature I photographed from taking over the house! Even though they look nice in photos, sometimes it's just time to rip 'em down! :)

That's wonderful! I love vines and their discontent with staying put.

ReplyDeleteHi SandyCarlson,
ReplyDeleteThat's true, with this vine in particular I had to wait for a moment when the wind wasn't blowing at all, it was so flexible!
