Watchful Otters - Wordless Wednesday
"Watchful" Two Otters out of the water Wordless Wednesday
Playful alright - these fellas were extremely active when I took this photo. I had to take about 70 odd shots before I could actually get both of them in the frame at once!
Yes, that is one of the things I have found amazing about these animals. Apparently they have a sort of grease covering them so that the water flows over - an inbuilt swimsuit!
Thanks for your visit. I'm glad you could manage to leave a comment. These fellas are certainly waiting for something - it was just about feeding time when I took this photo.
Great pictures David!!! Our family loves nature. We can't wait till the weather is just a little warmer and everything has bloomed so we can go camping. Your blog is very cool.
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. I hope the weather warms up for you soon, and you enjoy your camping. In Australia we are just entering Winter, so we're looking forward to a cold sleepout during World Youth Day!

Aw, I love otters. They are so playful.
ReplyDeleteI quite like how the line of the rocks matches the lines of the otters. Really nice.
ReplyDeleteI hear that these critters have a NASTY bite!!
ReplyDeleteCool shot, ours is up as well at burntofferings and more at bernies fotoblog.
Have a great WW!!
They look like a happy couple!
ReplyDeleteThey look so wary, so intelligent - and so wet! Love otters. And oddly enough I was dreaming of otters two nights ago.
ReplyDeleteBTW I'm having horrible trouble with that letter verification thing!
look how nicely their fur lies when wet They are so pretty
ReplyDeleteNice shot of them together and out of the water. They kinda blend in the surroundings :) Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey look like they are very alert or watching and waiting for something.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture

Hi Sandy Carlson,
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if these are male and female. They could well be, as they certainly take good care of each other.

Hi Napaboaniya,
ReplyDeleteI certainly wouldn't want to be hunting one of these. For one thing, they're so beautiful, and for another I wouldn't be able to keep track of them!
